New 2024 Sizzix Dies by Eileen Hull

New Sizzix Dies by Eileen Hull

New Dies from Eileen Hull and Sizzix

I’m excited that I finally get to share the samples I made using the New Sizzix dies by Eileen Hull.  It’s always fun getting new dies to play with.  And these are now my new favorites. (that is until next time)

Embossed Wedding Card

Elegantly Embossed Wedding Card

My first card uses Sizzix® 3D Textured Impressions® A5 Embossing Folder-Lace by Eileen Hull*.

I really love the new larger size.  The Lace 3D embossing folder is so amazing! It’s a new LARGE size measuring 8 1/2” x 5 3/4”. It works great on bigger journal covers, card backgrounds and on home decor pieces.

The base of the card was embossed using cream cardstock.  I used a piece of old “Baby 2 Bride” paper from Graphic 45 for the front of the card.  I used pearlized cardstock in pearl and silver for the layers.

Embossed Birthday Card

Blue Embossed Birthday Card

I created a delicate background for a feminine birthday card by inking the embossing folder with blue ink.  I inked directly onto the embossing folder and placed white cardstock inside.  I’m in love with how soft and subtle it looks.

Listen to Your Heart Mini Book

How about a new Mini Book?

This one uses the Sizzix® ScoreBoards™ Die – Mini Book by Eileen Hull®*.

Listen to Your Heart Mini Book-Sue's Creative Workshop www.sueeldred.com 3911

The Mini Book is great because you can create a book using your scraps. This book measures 3 3/4” x 2 1/4” and comes with a strap/handle and tiny label for the book cover. It makes a great bag topper if you fold it in the middle. It is also the perfect size for business cards. Die cut it from felt and stitch up a tiny wallet!

Listen to your Heart Mini Desk Organizer

Listen to your Heart Mini Desk Organizer

I added sides to the mini book using small pieces of matboard and created a small desk organizer.

Enjoy the Moment Storage Box

Do you love storage box dies?

This box uses the Sizzix® ScoreBoards™ XL Die – Storage Box by Eileen Hull®*.

The Storage Box is an XL ScoreBoard die measuring 4” square, the largest square box yet! This box is constructed with a removable top and may be used in many ways, such as organizing desk and office supplies, as a gift box, storing craft supplies and packaging for baked treats.

Enjoy the Moment Storage Box

I love how easy this was to put together and what a perfect size it is.

Enjoy The Moment Storage Box and Mini Desk Organizer

Of course, I had to make a mini desk organizer to match the storage box.

Sizzix 666560 Faux Postage Thinlet Die by Eileen Hull

Eileen also created a new Faux Postage Thinlet Die* that I didn’t get around to making a sample for.  (Faux Postage Thinlet Card sample post to come later this month.)

The full panel is designed to fit on a 5” x 7” card and creates a fun postage stamp effect. You can also cut (or tear) each stamp apart and use the individual pieces as a miniature work of art! These dies coordinate with similar dies: Snail Mail (A-2 card size) and Mini Slimline (6” x 3”).

Christmas Quilt Card

Have you finished sending out your Christmas Cards yet?

I’m close to being done, but if you’re not, here’s a last-minute

card using Eileen Hull’s Mini Slimline & Tickets Die Set by Sizzix*

Christmas Quilt Card

  • I know the pieces of the die are technically tickets.  I think when it’s all assembled, it looks like a quilt.  (so there you have it!)
  • I used paper from the “Happy Christmas” Paper Pad* to cut three bases.

Christmas Quilt Card

  • I adhered one base to the die-cut layer.  The others, I cut apart. I used those to create a patchwork base.

Christmas Quilt Card

  • I used stickers from the Happy Christmas Sticker Book* to embellish the front of the card.
  • Here’s a simple tip I learned from a class I took from Mrs Grossman (of Mrs. Grossman Sticker Company) many years ago. To make stickers die-cuts, brush baby powder on the back to remove the stickiness.

Christmas Quilt Card

The Slimline Ticket die would make a great card for any occasion.

Eileen Hull & Sizzix New Chapter 3 Release Party

Eileen Hull & Sizzix New Chapter 3 Release Dies

Join me and the Eileen Hull teams in sharing the

New Release Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull.

This is a fun new collection that I think you will enjoy.

And the samples from the entire team are phenomenal.

New Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull

First off is my vintage style Treasure Box.

I used the Slotted Treat Box Die* to make my Treasure Box. I adapted the box by adding a 1″ strip of matboard* around the existing box lid. The extra strips allowed the box to have a lip that fits over the edge of the box.

The Bigz Plus Slotted Treat Box Die* measures 6 1/2” x 5” x 3 1/2” and can hold so many things- a set of cards, journals, doll clothes, ephemera storage or you can even use it as a gift box! This is a Scoreboards die which is specially designed to cut and score thick material like matboard, chipboard, leather, felt, fabric and metal. *A 9” wide machine is required to cut this die.

New Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull

I rarely make masculine cards.  They’re a little bit of a challenge for me.  I loved using the key’s embossing folder for this card.  The key details are perfect.  I made them pop by adding Luster Wax over the raised design.  I used a combination of Ivory and Charcoal Luster Wax.

When we finished cleaning out my dad’s house, I came home with a huge ring of old keys.  I guess I’m not the only one.  Eileen shared that the Keys 3D Embossing Folder* is special to her because they all came from her dad’s house.

New Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull

The Floral Album was made using Eileen’s New Field Notes and Specimen Card Die* and paper from 49 and Market’s Rouge Collection*.  The spine was covered using some of my hoarded faux leather paper.

The Field Notes and Specimen Card Die* is a Bigz XL die that holds 5” x 7” pages or photos- a new orientation! The Specimen Card may be used to hold photos, as a journaling card or a shaker. Holes are pre-cut into the book spine which is adjustable from 1/2” to 1 1/2 in width. *XL Cutting Pads will be needed to cut the book cover.

New Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull

I used the Specimen Card from Eileen’s Field Notes Journal* along with the Sizzix Thinlets Envelope, Folder & Flowers Die Set* to create the embellishment on the inside front pocket of the album.  The inside pages of the album were decorated using Rub-Ons Transfers from the 49 and Market Rouge Collection*.

New Chapter 3 Dies from Sizzix and Eileen Hull

The Sizzix Thinlets Envelope, Folder & Flowers Die Set* is made up of nine dies- an adorable mini envelope, file folder, set of small, medium and large hearts, and a large and small flower and leaf set. This die set will be perfect to create ephemera using your scraps!

It’s a Good Day to Have a Good Day!

The Shaker Tag was made using Specimen Card from Eileen’s Field Notes Journal* foam strips, sequins, and paper from Echo Park’s Life is Beautiful Collection Kit*.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

How to make a Sparkly, Shimmery Shaker Birthday Card.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

One of the great things about being a cardmaker is making fun cards

for special people. I made a quick and easy card for my cousin’s birthday

over the weekend and forgot to take any process shots.

So, I decided to make another one, slightly different.

Making Sparkly Shimmery Cards are fun to make.

Taking photographs of those kind of cards are not.

To give the cards the extra sparkle and shine, I used StyletechCraft’s Chrome Vinyls.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

Directions:

  • Usually, when I’m working with vinyl, I use it as a sticker. This time I wanted to use the vinyl to make a dimensional piece. Before die-cutting, I placed the vinyl onto the cardstock.
  • Die-cut the words Happy Birthday using Pink Chrome Adhesive Vinyl*.
  • Die-cut the birthday background using Silver Chrome Adhesive Vinyl*.
  • Cut the Small 3D Foam Squares* in half and place them onto the back of the letters. Use tweezers to add each of the letters to the background.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

  • Die-cut a frame using white cardstock.
  • Cut a piece of clear acetate slightly smaller than the frame.
  • Use a double tape roller to add adhesive around the frame.
  • Remove the protective film from the acetate and place it inside the frame.
  • Place double-sided adhesive strips over the acetate.
  • Cut a piece of Holographic Mist Chrome Adhesive Vinyl* slightly smaller than the frame.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

  • Add 3D foam squares to the back of the die-cut background.
  • Place “Happy Birthday” onto the front of the frame.
  • Adhere the frame layers on a white card.
  • Add a simple white sheer bow to finish the card.

Shimmer & Shake Birthday Card

I love how the Holographic Vinyl sparkles and changes color in the sun.

Life is Beautiful Mini Card & Envelope Stationery Caddy

Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

The Life is Beautiful Mini Card & Envelope Stationery Caddy

is a great gift idea for anyone who loves to send cards.

It would also make a sweet and thoughtful Mother’s Day Gift Idea.

Echo Park's Life is Beautiful Collection Kit.

I used the “Life is Beautiful” Collection Kit from Echo Park*.

I also used a few Eileen Hull dies by Sizzix to make the caddy.

Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

Directions:

  • For the base of the stationery caddy, cut two coordinating 6″ x 10½” pieces of scrapbook paper. (One is for the front, and one is for the inside.)
  • Cut a 6″ x 10½” piece of Sizzix Mat Board*.
  • Place the paper design side up into the Xyron Creative Station*. Crank the handle to run the paper through the machine. As the paper runs through the Xyron Creative Station*, it adds a complete layer of adhesive to the backside of the paper.
  • Adhere the paper onto the front and back of the Mat Board*.

Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

  • Place the mat board with the outside design face down on the Card Caddy Die*.
  • Sandwich the die between the two cutting places and run the die through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine*.
  • Die-cut the two caddy sides using mat board and paper.
  • Gently fold the caddy base along the outer score lines and glue the caddy sides to the caddy base using Rapid Fuse Adhesive*.

Life is Beautiful Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

Life is Beautiful Journaling Cards by Echo Park

Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

  • I trimmed and layered the Journaling Cards* onto cardstock to create mini cards to fit into the envelopes.
  • The finished cards are 3¼” x 4¼”.

Life is Beautiful Sticker Sheet from Echo Park

Mini Card and Envelope Stationery Caddy

  • I added a piece of 1″ pink grosgrain ribbon around the middle of the caddy case.
  • I cut apart the Life is Beautiful 4″ x 4″ journal cards* and adhered the “basket card” onto the matboard for sturdiness. I trimmed the matboard to 3½” x 3½” and adhered it to the front of the caddy.
  • I added stickers to the front of the caddy and popped them up with foam squares for added dimension.
  • To complete the caddy, add a fun set of colorful pens and a coordinating faux flower stem.

Today, I’m excited to share several Paper Crafting Projects using the New Eileen Hull Dies

by Sizzix.  This is another fun collection with so many possibilities.

Our Life Our Story Folio Album

Our Life Story Mini Album

My first project is a Mini Album made with Eileen’s New Card Case Die by Sizzix*.

I love creating an album with dimension and a lot of moving parts.

I used the sweet Botanical Garden Paper Collection from Carta Bella*.

It is a fun little album with sturdy chipboard pockets perfect for inserting small notebooks or cards.

Congrats Patchwork Slimline Card

The Congrats Quilt Card was made with Eileen’s New Mini Slimline & Tickets Die*.

The Mini Slimline & Tickets Die* comes with four coordinating thin metal dies.

For the card, I die-cut the base using cream cardstock.

I then cut small squares to fit inside the tickets using the Flora No. 5 Paper Collection from Carta Bella*.

I embellished the front of the card with stickers mounted up with 3D adhesive foam squares*.

Mini Slimline Ticket Bookmark

Bloom Laminated Bookmark

The Slimline & Tickets Die Set* comes with one die that is a thin strip of tickets.

I used that to make a simple bookmark.

I laminated the bookmark using a Xyron Creative Station Mini* with a Laminate Cartridge*.

Happy Together Envelope Book

Happy Together Envelope Mini Album

Another one of Eileen’s New Dies is the New Journaling Card, Envelope & Window Die*.

I used the Envelope Die with Eileen’s Folio Journal Die* to create a Mini Album.

Did you know you can cut down the albums after they’ve been die-cut from the mat board

to adapt the album?  I revised the Folio Journal* for the perfect fit.

Happy Together Envelope Book

I created an accordion fold for the inside of the spine to hold all the envelopes in place.

I used Rapid Fuse Adhesive* to hold the accordion fold securely in place.

I decorated each envelope with coordinating paper and stickers.

I added a small piece of Velcro under the flap to keep it closed.

I adhered the envelopes onto the accordion flaps using Rapid Fuse Adhesive*.

After I finished the album, I decided to add a small button closure

to the front and back of the album. (not shown)

Simple Embossed Greeting Cards

Embossed Greeting Cards

Simple but Extraordinary Embossed Greeting Cards.

If you haven’t noticed, I love making cards.

Even though I’m mainly a “Clean and Simple” cardmaker,

I do enjoy adding a little texture from time to time.

Texture adds dimension.

And there’s no better way to add texture than to use an Sizzix Embossing Folder by Eileen Hull.

Embossed Greeting Cards

Embossed Birthday Card

Eileen’s New 3D Tablecloth Embossing Folder* creates an elegant textured background

for this Simple Birthday Card.  The words “Happy Birthday were die-cut using

Eileen’s New Alphanumeric Die* and Ultra Metallic Gold Adhesive Craft Vinyl*

from StyleTechCraft.

Embossed Greeting Cards

For this simple Birthday Card, I used the Woven Leather Embossing Folder*.

  • To use an embossing folder, place a piece of paper inside the folder.
  • Place the embossing folder into the Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine*.  You’ll need to adjust the layers on the plate for the thickness of the folder.  Crank the handle to run the embossing folder through the machine.
  • Open the folder for a beautifully embossed piece of paper.

Materials Used:   (*affiliate links)

Embossed Greeting Cards

I got my Sewing Machine* out for the next two cards.

I’ve wanted to make a quilt card for a while.

A quilt card is a great way to use up small scraps of paper.

Materials Used on the Quilt Cards:  (*affiliate links)

Embossed Greeting Cards

Quilt Card Directions:

  • I put my paper through a Xyron 3″ Disposable Sticker Maker* to make the paper into sticker paper.
  • Cut them into 1″ squares.  I laid the squares out first to play with the quilt pattern.
  • To make a 4″ square quilt, cut a 4″ base to lay the squares on.
  • Stick the squares onto the base and trim if necessary to even up the edges.
  • Sew in between the squares using a sewing machine.
  • Adhere the quilt onto paper layers and a 5″ x 5″ card.

Embossed Greeting Cards

This pink quilt card is one of my new favorites.

It reminds me of an old quilt I used to have on my bed.

It’s soft, sweet, and feminine.

It makes me want to curl up with a good book on a lazy day.

I Love You more than Donuts.

I Love You More than Donuts Card

“I Love You More than Donuts” Valentine’s Day Card.

As I mentioned in my last post, my husband and I aren’t that gushy romantic couple.

This card is the Valentine’s Day card that I made for him.

I Love You More than Donuts Card

He really is a sweetie…

In the early years of our marriage, my husband would buy me a donut every weekend morning.

It was one of the sweet little things he would do for me.

That lasted until I told him I couldn’t eat another donut. (I know, I’m an ungrateful wife.)

But recently, my husband has been on a donut kick again.

And sometimes, if I ask nicely, he’ll buy one for me.

So technically, this should have been his Valentine’s card to me. (I hope!)

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!

I Love You More than Donuts Card

Celebrating Winter with a Little Paper Crafting

Winter Memories Album

Now that the Holidays are over, I’m embracing the quiet of the Winter Season

by creating a few things with Eileen Hull’s and Sizzix’s New Release Chapt. One Dies

and the Simple Winter Woods Scrapbook Collection Kit from Simple Stories*.

Look at this beautiful New Scrapbook Paper Collection from Simple Stories.

I fell in love with the soft, muted colors of the Simple Winter Woods Collection*

and knew I had to have it.  (It was perfect for these projects.)

Winter Memories Album

First, I must show you the new toy I got for Christmas this year.

After many years of use and abuse, I finally upgraded my old Big Shot Machine with a Newer, Bigger model.

Behold the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Die-Cutting Machine*.

I needed it to die-cut the larger dies like the NEW Sizzix Frame Pocket Journal Die by Eileen Hull*.

Winter Memories Album

Winter Memories Album

The Journal measures 4 1/2” x 6 1/2” x 1 1/4” with an adjustable spine.

What makes this die special are the additional pieces on the die, a pocket to hold ephemera, a frame and flap!

Winter Memories Album

There are several ways to make the inside of your album.

Winter Memories Album

I created a pocket on the inside of the album using the die and covered matboard.

Winter Memories Album

The pocket is great for adding a small skinny notebook or several little notecards.

I used the 3″ x 4″ journal cards from the Winter Woods Paper Collection for the front of the cards.

Winter Memories Album

I used twine and the holes on the spine to hold a small notebook in place.

I covered the Small Kraft Notebook* using a paper and stickers from the collection.

Hello Winter 2023 Framed Picture

Continuing with the Winter Theme…

I created a framed picture using the NEW Sizzix Thinlets Tile Alphanumeric Die by Eileen Hull*.

The Tile Alphanumeric is very versatile because you can use both the positive and negative shapes.

Each letter is perforated which makes it easy to create and line up words.

Hello Winter 2023 Frame Picture

It’s so easy to create a little dimensional piece of art using the supplies you have around you.

Simple Vintage Winter Woods Card

And last but not least, I created a 5″ x 7″ card using Eileen’s NEW Sizzix 3D Tablecloth Embossing Folder

as the background for my card.
