Eileen Hull Comfort & Joy Kick Off

I wanted to share a little bit about a fun event that I’m participating in.  

The Comfort & Joy Kickoff

We are starting the 2022 holiday season with the 2022 Comfort & Joy Kickoff Event an all-day workshop put on by Eileen and team!  You will learn tips, tricks, and techniques for working with Eileen’s products and how they may be used throughout the holiday season.

Join us for our third annual Comfort & Joy holiday craft celebration to create journals, holiday packaging and containers, cards, small gifts, ornaments and so much more!

The first Comfort & Joy event began in 2020.  During the pandemic, we were all at loose ends, missing the holiday celebrations normally enjoyed with family and friends.  We became each other’s family and celebrated together in our small group.  The team put their thinking caps on and created two weeks of content and we all crafted it together!  I personally was very grateful for the Fan Club community that year.

In that spirit, we continue this event… The Comfort & Joy Kickoff Event will be held on Saturday, November 5 beginning at 9:30 Eastern Time and ending at about 4:00.  There will be a little break for lunch.

The event will be hosted in a private Facebook group. Once you pay for the event, you will receive a PDF so check your mail and spam folder!  You will be directed to the Facebook group where the event will take place.

On the day of the event, attendees will gather in the group at 9:30 AM Eastern time to watch the first live. Eileen will start the event off and every 45 minutes, a new team member will be introduced with a tutorial, technique, or project.  Craft along live if you’d like or catch up later on replay- whatever works for you!  There will be a total of 8 classes plus bonus projects.

This is a steal at $20 for the whole day! 

We wanted the event to be affordable to everyone who wants to attend. The team will be sharing the proceeds.  This is a nice way to thank them for the time they put in all year creating ideas to inspire you!

From Nov. 7- 18, there will be additional content provided each weekday for free.

Red Snowflake Welcome 10" Wood Door Hanger

When you order your kit, you will have the choice of a white or red snowflake. 

The Welcome Snowflake is made using Ultra Metallic Glitter Vinyl from StyleTechCraft.

The Workshop Kit includes a 10″ wood circle, vinyl snowflake greeting, transfer paper,

gray/red plaid ribbon, a jingle bell, and greenery. (You will need to provide acrylic paint.)

The Red Snowflake Welcome is another example of what you can make with the supplies

found in your kit.  I used a walnut stain on the wood base for a completely different look.

Red Plaid Embroidery Hoop Ornament

The Embroidery Hoop Ornament is a quick and easy project with lots of opportunities

for personalization.  You have the choice of the red flannel shown, a soft grey flannel,

or red and black buffalo check flannel.

You will get several words that you can choose from to stencil onto the cream twill ribbon.

The Embroidery Hoop Ornament measures approx. 4″ when finished.

(you will need a glue gun for this project)

Holiday Joy Gift Card Money Holder

The Holiday Joy Gift Card/Money Holder is great for sticking a little money

or a Starbucks gift card.  Who wouldn’t love getting that for Christmas?

The card uses the Coffee Die Set from The Maker’s Movement.

The sleeve around the coffee cup uses the NEW Eileen Hull Sweater Embossing Plate*.

The Warm & Cozy Card also uses the New Sweater Embossing Plate from Eileen Hull and Sizzix.

I’m in love with this new embossing plate and can’t wait for you to see how lovely it is in person.

This card is made using dies and Jingle Bell Shaker Sprinkles from The Maker’s Movement,

A little more about Sue’s Holiday Workshop…

For the last decade (plus), I have looked forward to hosting my annual “Sue’s Holiday Workshop” every November. It’s my Holiday Christmas Party with friends. This stupid pandemic has made it hard. Last year we did an abbreviated version of the Holiday Workshop with fewer projects and an affordable price. This year I’ve decided to do the same. I hope that next year, we will finally get to come together in person. It’ll be a full day of Holiday Crafting Fun. (I’ll probably start planning as soon as this season is over.)

After much contemplation, I’ve decided that Sue’s Holiday Workshop will be

virtual again this year.  Fingers crossed, we’ll be together next year.

Anyway…I’m kind of excited about this year’s kit.

I’ve worked hard to find ideas to inspire you with new things to try.

Here’s how it works…

When you order a kit, you’ll get supplies to make all the projects with detailed instructions.  You’ll also gain access to a Private Facebook Group where I will share videos of the project.

Did you Hear?

I will be teaching a Special Holiday Class on Saturday, November 6th,

and Wednesday, November 10th, at The Paper Forest in Washington, Illinois.

Both classes will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

It makes me sad to lose this store. It is a great store!

So Plaid You Came…

Thank you to everyone who came and participated in Sue’s Holiday Workshop.

This year’s plaid themed Holiday Workshop was one for the books.

Even though there were a few hiccups (like bad super glue), everyone had fun.

Some of you I only get to see once a year, which makes it feel more like my Christmas party.

I really enjoy laughing with you all and especially all the hugs.

I wish I would have gotten everyone’s picture.

Registration is Open for Sue’s 2019 Holiday WorkshoP

The theme for this years Holiday Workshop is Mad for Plaid. 

We will be making several plaid themed projects along a few other non-plaid items.
Plaid Attire is not required but highly encouraged.

Here’s what to Expect…

  • Christmas Cards:  We will be making several Christmas Cards and Tags including the Merry Christmas Black Buffalo Plaid card pictured above.  (more samples to come)

  • NEW this year… a  Buffalo Plaid Hot Cocoa bar with yummy toppings to warm you up.   (Hopefully… Snow Not Included!)

      • I’ll also have fun Buffalo Plaid Party Props perfect for a picture or two with friends.  (party props from Oriental Trading)

The cost of the Holiday Workshop is $45…
which includes your workshop supplies*, hot lunch, Hot Cocoa Bar, yummy cookies and lots of prizes.  Did I mention every wins a prize?
