Always Dream Big

Kaisercraft Dream Big Card

Just a quick share today.  (waiting on paint to dry on another project)

Here are a couple more projects that I made for The Paper Forest Design Team

using Kaisercraft’s Dream Big Collection.  (Inside it says:  anything is possible)

I’m really loving the color softness of this collection.

This card could be using for a Graduation, Retirement, New Job…

Candle Make Over

Why give a boring candle when you can make one over with a few left-over scraps of paper?

Small Candle from Bath & Body Works.

Kaisercraft “Dream Big”

Some of you may remember my family pictures that was taken on Easter.

Easter Layout #2

I love all the silly shots we got that day.  I think “captured” really fits on the layout below.

The caption reads:

Somebody got a little excited as Mom ran back and forth setting the camera on the tripod.

These layouts were made with Kaisercraft’s Dream Big Collection.

“Herbs & Honey” Tag

Basic Grey's Herbs & Honey Tag

A quick share today.  I’ve got my little buddy coming over in a little bit for a play day and sleep-over.

We’ve got big plans;  Garden Shop, Playdoh, Break the Ice, the movie Frozen w/ popcorn, and dinner out with Grandpa.  It’s going to be a good day.

This tag was made with Basic Grey’s Herbs & Honey Collection for The Paper Forest Design Team.

Basic Grey’s: Herbs & Honey Home Decor

Herbs & Honey Home Decor

One of the things I look for when I go treasure hunting are picture frames.   Square ones in particular.  I am just drawn to square frames.  Doesn’t matter how ugly the picture is inside.

I gave the gold frame a white wash look with Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Antique Linen. (frame cost .50)

I made a simple 3″ pinwheel using two different pinks from the “Herbs & Honey” Collection.  The middle of the pinwheel was made using “bottle cap” stickers from the same collection.

What do you look for when you go treasure hunting?  (I think that sounds better than garage sales)

Sowing seeds of Love

Mini Garden Double Layout

There’s nothing better than spending quality time with someone you love.

I knew as soon as I saw the pictures from “Nick and Grandma’s Mini Garden”, our special project, they would make wonderful scrapbook pages.   (see the original post here)  Lucky for me, my design team packet for The Paper Forest was the garden themed collection “Herbs & Honey” from Basic Grey.

I choose to keep the layouts simple with a focus on the story and the pictures.

Pekin Times

On a Saturday morning back in February, I showed up to teach a class at my local Scrapbook Store and was greeted by a reporter from one of the local papers.  (a husband of one of the ladies that was taking my class)  He was doing an article on Paper Crafting, people who craft for fun and profit and a bit on my local Scrapbook Store, The Paper Forest.  I gave a quick interview while I set up for class and he followed up with a phone call to finish the interview later the next week.  While it was fun being included in the article I’ve been wondering since then what I’d said and hoping that I hadn’t embarrassed my self.

Click here to view the article.  (I think it turned out real nice.)

Make sure to check out the pictures.
