Pinch Proof for St. Patrick’s Day

Doing A little Pinch Proof Preparedness for St. Patrick’s Day.

GREEN is the color of the day on St. Patrick’s Day…

and, I’ll be the first to admit that I look horrible in green. (It’s just not my color.)

So what do you do when green is not your color and you still want to celebrate?

You get creative and make a simple “Pinch Proof” button so you can wear a little green

and keep those pinches at bay. (It’s kind of like cootie protection when you were a kid.)

Directions:

Cut a 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of mat board*.
Cut two 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ pieces of green ultra-metallic glitter vinyl. Apply the vinyl onto both sides of the mat board*.
Use the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine*and 4″ Circle Die to cut the mat board into a circle.
Use the Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine* and the “Pinch Proof” SVG file to create and size the design to fit onto the circle.
Remove the excess vinyl from around the words using the vinyl tools.
Transfer the words onto the circle using the Clear Transfer Tape*.

Gently rub over the vinyl transfer tape using the squeegee tool to make sure all the image has transferred. Remove the transfer tape.

Adhere 1″ Adhesive Back Bar Pin* to the back of the circle.

Now you’re Pinch Proof and ready to Celebrate.

Gnome for the Holidays

The Holiday Season isn’t even here yet, and Gnomes are popping up in stores everywhere.

That’s a good thing for me because I think they’re adorable.

I especially love the Holiday Gnomes.

Did you know that Gnomes are considered good luck?

The way things have been going this year, I’m going to need a lot more gnomes.

Have you tried making Gnomes yet?

I haven’t made any Gnomes yet myself, but it’s on my Holiday to-do list this year.

I thought this “Gnome for the Holidays” sign would look perfect with the two I already have.

I used StyleTechCraft metallic luster vinyl for a fun shimmery, metallic Holiday Decoration.

Materials Used:

StyleTechCraft Luster Vinyl: Red, Bright Green, Bronze*
StyleTechCraft Glossy Craft Vinyl: White, Sand*
StyleTechCraft Vinyl Tool Kit*
Vinyl Transfer Tape*
Red Metallic Frame
Gnome Place like Home SVG File (from the Silhouette Store)
Silhouette Came o Electronic Die Cutting Machine*
Decorative Scrapbook Paper

Directions:

Cut a piece of coordinating holiday scrapbook paper to fit inside of the frame.
Use the “Gnome for the Holidays” SVG cut file and the Silhouette Came o Electronic Die Cutting Machine* to cut the pieces out of vinyl.
Use the vinyl pick tool to remove the excess vinyl from inside and around the letters and shapes.
Cut a piece of Vinyl Transfer Tape* to fit over the vinyl words. Gently rub over the transfer paper using the squeegee tool. Remove the vinyl from the white liner.
Using the transfer tape, line up the vinyl words onto the scrapbook paper.

Gently rub over the Vinyl Transfer Tape* to make sure all the image has transferred. Remove the transfer tape.
Continue adding the vinyl layers that make up the Gnome.
Add into a fun red metallic frame and enjoy it.

Barn Art

If you had a newly remodeled little red barn…

would you make Barn Art for its newly painted walls?

Our newly remodeled little red barn is finally done and it’s looking really good.

(maybe even cute)

So…I decided to make it some art using my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting

Machine* and luster vinyl from StyleTechCraft. A simple little project and fun sign that’ll

adorn the barn walls along with the old personalized license plates that I found.
