Nick and Warren and the December Orange Art Box

Nick and Warren and the December Orange Art Box

It’s always fun crafting with these two monkeys.  Always a lot of silliness and smiles.

When we finally got a chance to work on the December Box, I had picked them up right after

they got off the school bus.  They were especially wound up.

I had to threaten Warren that he couldn’t be in the video if he wouldn’t stop

talking about naked bellies and of course showing me.

Then once we got going he gave me a sweet little song included at the end of the video.

Another Bonus…

I get to give away a Orange Art Box to one lucky kid.  (details at the bottom of this post)

Please enjoy our cheesy little video.

The December Orange Art Box was all about “Artic Friends”.

The December Orange Art Box included modeling clay, markers, card kits, postcards, bookmarks, glue, yarn to make tassels, and an instruction book that show the kids how to draw and make the animals.

End of the Summer Crafting with Kids

End of the Summer Crafting with Kids

With school starting last week and our hanging out time limited, I grabbed my grandsons

for a end of summer craft day.  We needed a craft day.  (and a little swim time too)

We had got our August Orange Art Box earlier in the month and hadn’t found the time

to work on it yet.  (yesterday was the perfect day)

Kids love to make things and get messy.  (And this box was a fun one.)

In my workshop, I have a long kid sized table and chairs that I picked up a few years ago

at a church sale aka “The Sunday School Table” which is perfect for crafting with the boys.

(FYI…until I get my new craft room completely finished, I’ve been crafting there myself.)

We painted kindness rocks…

made picture frames and games.

Everything was included in the Orange Art Box kit.

All I had to do is clear off a table and pour some water for washing brushes.

The boys couldn’t wait to start painting.

Nick was inspired to make a game board of his own.   (which I’ll laminate for him)

I love to see creativity at work and spending time with my grandsons is an extra added bonus.

First Day Back to School Signs

Watch out Kindergarten here I come!

The first day of school is a big deal.  Especially when it’s your first day of Kindergarten.

My grandson is going into Kindergarten this year and will be riding the bus with his big brother.

It’s a really big deal.

So… I decided to make him something  special.

Using my Silhouette Cameo Wireless Cutting Machine* and a variety of fun colors of adhesive

gloss craft vinyl from StyleTechCraft…I made a cute two-sided sign for them (or Mom) to use

for those First Day of School pictures.

StyleTechCraft has a large selection of adhesive vinyl colors to choose from.

On the second side of the sign I made a few adjustments to my Silhouette Back to School

SVG cut file and added lines instead of dots.  (too many dots for me)

Using a chalk marker or chalk you can reuse the sign for many years to come.

FYI…The base of the sign is a wood cut out from which I painted using DecoArt Chalkboard Paint*.

Crafting with Kids…all about bugs

BUZZIN’ BUGS

The summer crafting adventures continue with Nick and Warren and the July Orange Art Box.

This months box is all about Bugs and I do believe it was Warren’s favorite box.

The kit came with supplies to make a bug jar, cute little felt bugs, bug stencils, stickers,

paper to make a bug book, plastic bugs, markers and several other fun crafty supplies.

Check out the boys video and the July Orange Art Box.

(I’m starting to wonder if I should include their bloopers.  Never a dull moment.)

So…If you are looking for something different for your kids to do this summer

you might want to look into the Orange Art Box.

It’s available to purchase as a 1, 3, 6 or 12 month subscription.

Perfect gift for that budding artist.
