Today, I’m excited to share several Paper Crafting Projects using the New Eileen Hull Dies

by Sizzix. This is another fun collection with so many possibilities.

My first project is a Mini Album made with Eileen’s New Card Case Die by Sizzix*.

I love creating an album with dimension and a lot of moving parts.

It is a fun little album with sturdy chipboard pockets perfect for inserting small notebooks or cards.

Congrats Patchwork Slimline Card

The Congrats Quilt Card was made with Eileen’s New Mini Slimline & Tickets Die*.

The Mini Slimline & Tickets Die* comes with four coordinating thin metal dies.

For the card, I die-cut the base using cream cardstock.

I then cut small squares to fit inside the tickets using the Flora No. 5 Paper Collection from Carta Bella*.

I embellished the front of the card with stickers mounted up with 3D adhesive foam squares*.

The Slimline & Tickets Die Set* comes with one die that is a thin strip of tickets.

I used that to make a simple bookmark.

I laminated the bookmark using a Xyron Creative Station Mini* with a Laminate Cartridge*.

Happy Together Envelope Book

Happy Together Envelope Mini Album

Another one of Eileen’s New Dies is the New Journaling Card, Envelope & Window Die*.

I used the Envelope Die with Eileen’s Folio Journal Die* to create a Mini Album.

Did you know you can cut down the albums after they’ve been die-cut from the mat board

to adapt the album? I revised the Folio Journal* for the perfect fit.

I created an accordion fold for the inside of the spine to hold all the envelopes in place.

I used Rapid Fuse Adhesive* to hold the accordion fold securely in place.

For the pages of the album, I created six small envelopes. (Four shown)

I decorated each envelope with coordinating paper and stickers.

I added a small piece of Velcro under the flap to keep it closed.

I adhered the envelopes onto the accordion flaps using Rapid Fuse Adhesive*.

After I finished the album, I decided to add a small button closure

to the front and back of the album. (not shown)

DIY Easter Egg Hunt Sign using StyleTechCraft Glossy Vinyl

Whether you are hosting a super large gathering or a small hunt for three wild

and crazy boys, the “The Hunt Is On” Easter Egg Sign is a fun way to let the fun begin.

For this project, I’ve combined my love of Dollar Tree Finds and my favorite StyletechCraft* vinyl.

DIY Easter Egg Hunt Sign using StyleTechCraft Glossy Vinyl

Directions:

Remove the twine hanger from the back of the sign.

The Hunt is One SVG File from The Silhouette Store

Using the “The Hunt is On” SVG file from The Silhouette Store and my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine*, I cut the design using StyleTech Craft Glossy Vinyl.
After cutting, remove the excess vinyl using a Vinyl Weeding Tool*.

DIY Easter Egg Hunt Sign using StyleTechCraft Glossy Vinyl

I applied the background vinyl first.
Lay the transfer paper over the words.
Rub over the transfer paper with a vinyl scraper tool and lift the design from the white paper backing.
Lay the transfer paper onto the sign and rub over the design. Remove the transfer paper.
Line up the colored eggs one at a time over the background design.

If you haven’t noticed, I love making cards.

Even though I’m mainly a “Clean and Simple” cardmaker,

I do enjoy adding a little texture from time to time.

Texture adds dimension.

Embossed Greeting Cards

For this simple Birthday Card, I used the Woven Leather Embossing Folder*.

To use an embossing folder, place a piece of paper inside the folder.
Place the embossing folder into the Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine*. You’ll need to adjust the layers on the plate for the thickness of the folder. Crank the handle to run the embossing folder through the machine.
Open the folder for a beautifully embossed piece of paper.

I got my Sewing Machine* out for the next two cards.

I’ve wanted to make a quilt card for a while.

A quilt card is a great way to use up small scraps of paper.

Quilt Card Directions:

I put my paper through a Xyron 3″ Disposable Sticker Maker* to make the paper into sticker paper.
Cut them into 1″ squares. I laid the squares out first to play with the quilt pattern.
To make a 4″ square quilt, cut a 4″ base to lay the squares on.
Stick the squares onto the base and trim if necessary to even up the edges.
Sew in between the squares using a sewing machine.
Adhere the quilt onto paper layers and a 5″ x 5″ card.

This pink quilt card is one of my new favorites.

It reminds me of an old quilt I used to have on my bed.

It’s soft, sweet, and feminine.

It makes me want to curl up with a good book on a lazy day.

For Spring this year, I decided I needed a new bunny.

This cute little bunny door hanger makes me smile every time I see him.

Dollar Tree* always seems to have the perfect wood cut out for me to use.

And when it only costs $1.25, it’s affordable too.

How to make The Spring Bunny Door Hanger:

The bunny was a little too gray for my taste, so I warmed up the color by painting it with DecoArt Bleached Sand Acrylic Paint*.

My project was inspired by a Large Floral Rabbit Decoration that I saw at Michael’s Craft Store. I liked the look of the painted flowers on the rabbit. But since my hand-painting skills are not that good, a floral stencil would have to do.

I created a stencil using StyleTechCraft Matte Removable Vinyl*, my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine*, and the “Flower Corner” SVG file from The Silhouette Store.
I removed all the details inside the cut image with a vinyl craft pick tool. I left only the background.
Paint inside the background using acrylic paint.
I used the same cut stencil for both sides.

Next came the fun part. I cut all the pieces of the bunny using StyleTechCraft Glossy Craft Vinyl*, the Easter Bunny Face SVG file (from the Silhouette Store), and my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine*.

After cutting all the pieces, I removed the excess vinyl from around the images using a Vinyl Weeding Tool*.
To transfer the vinyl, lay the Vinyl Transfer Tape* over the image.
Rub over the Vinyl Transfer Tape* with a vinyl scraper tool and lift the image from the white paper backing.

For the florals, line up the vinyl over the painted area.
Gently rub over the transfer tape with the scraper tool.
Remove the transfer tape.

To create the handle, paint several wood beads with the same acrylic paint as the flowers.
String the beads onto a piece of natural twine*.
An Easy DIY Tip: Dip the end of the twine into craft glue. Twirl the fibers with your fingers tips to make the strands tight. Once the glue dries, it’s easy to add the beads.

I rubbed a little pink paint onto the face before adding the whiskers.

I added adhesive rhinestones to the inside of the smaller flowers.

How to make “Mae’s Sweet Little Photo Frame Stand”…

Last Fall, we had family pictures taken.

I especially love this sweet picture of my granddaughter Mae.

I wanted to make a photo stand for her picture to put on my desk.

Mae's Sweet Little Frame Stand

How to make the Photo Frame Stand:

Die-cut the Phone Stand using White Matboard*, a Sizzix Big Shot Plus Die-Cutting Machine*, and the Phone Stand Die*. Adhere a piece of scrapbook paper on the top section of the phone stand.
For the frame die, cut the Matboard* slightly larger than the area that you will be die-cutting. Cut a piece of scrapbook paper the same size as the matboard. I like to run the paper through a Xyron Create a Sticker Machine* to add a complete layer of adhesive to the back of the paper. Adhere the paper onto the matboard. Place the covered matboard design down on the die and die cut using the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Die-Cutting Machine*.

Carefully fold the phone stand on the scored lines and adhere the phone stand with a strong adhesive.
My favorite is Rapid Fuse Adhesive*. It dries quickly and holds strong.
I glued a piece of clear acetate onto the inside of the frame to protect the photo before adhering it to the front of the phone stand.
I added green trim on the bottom to give it a little “vintage granny chic vibe”.

I used the Sizzix Thinlets Tile Alphanumeric Die by Eileen Hull* to create the name on the bottom of the frame.
The letters hang over the bottom of the frame.
To match the thickness of the frame, I added two thin strips of mat board under the letter tiles.

For added detail, I painted a brass heart with White Birch DecoArt Multi-Media Paint.
I rubbed a little of the paint off to show the details in the brass charm.

Tie the brass charm onto the top of the frame with a simple cream-colored satin ribbon.

“I Love You More than Donuts” Valentine’s Day Card.

As I mentioned in my last post, my husband and I aren’t that gushy romantic couple.

This card is the Valentine’s Day card that I made for him.

He really is a sweetie…

In the early years of our marriage, my husband would buy me a donut every weekend morning.

It was one of the sweet little things he would do for me.

That lasted until I told him I couldn’t eat another donut. (I know, I’m an ungrateful wife.)

But recently, my husband has been on a donut kick again.

And sometimes, if I ask nicely, he’ll buy one for me.

So technically, this should have been his Valentine’s card to me. (I hope!)

Creating a Love Notes Tag Album for Valentine’s Day.

My husband and I are not particularly gushy or romantic people.

But we have, on a rare occasion, left a love note or two.

One year for Valentine’s Day, he declared he would write me a love letter

for each day of the week. I think he made it to day #3.

For Valentine’s Day this year…

I thought I would pull out my Valentine’s Stash and create a small Love Notes

Tag Album using the Sizzix Library Pocket Die by Eileen Hull*.

I think I need to “Craft My Stash” more often.

It’s amazing the misc. things I found in my Valentine’s drawer and how well

they all went together.

Love Notes Tag Album for Valentine's Day

To create the Mini Tag Album:

I used the Library Pocket Die* and a variety of double-sided paper to create several pocket pages.
I decorated the pockets with Valentine stickers, ephemera, and hearts.
On the front cover, I used a library pocket cut from red cardstock and two from scrapbook paper. I cut off the pocket portion of each one to make them into tags. For quick assembly, I used a Xyron 3″ Disposable Sticker Maker* to add adhesive to the back of the scrapbook paper tags. I adhered the scrapbook paper to the front and back of the cardstock tag. I created a second layered tag for the back cover.
I added a gold edge to the sides of the front and back cover using a DecoColor Chisel Point Gold Leaf Pen*.
I created letter stickers using the inside letters of the Tile Alphanumeric Die, and white cardstock ran through the Xyron Sticker Maker.

The Mini Tag Album is bound together using a ¾” Mini Book Ring*.
The little Valentine’s coupons are from a very old “Authentique Papers” scrapbooking paper.

How to make a “You Warm my Heart” Valentine’s Day Mug.

Some girls may want roses and expensive gifts for Valentine’s Day.

Not this girl. Give me something thoughtful and sweet, and I’ll be happy.

(Oh, and a little chocolate never hurts.)

While shopping at my local Dollar Tree…

I found this simple red and white mug*; I was drawn to its color because it is more barn red than fire engine red.

I decided to make a fun Valentine’s mug using my favorite StyleTechCraft Adhesive Vinyl.

Did you know, Dollar Tree* has a lot of glass and ceramic items that are perfect for adding vinyl?

How to make a "You warm my heart" mug using StyleTechCraft Vinyl.

To make the Valentine’s Mug:

I used an inexpensive red mug found at Dollar Tree*.
Prep the surface of the mug with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils.
I used the Silhouette Store “ink-free” font and the Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine* to cut the words.
I used StyleTechCraft Silver Luster Vinyl* for the words and StyleTechCraft Rose Gold Craft Vinyl* for the hearts.
After cutting, remove the excess vinyl using a Vinyl Weeding Tool*.
Lay the transfer paper over the words.
Rub over the transfer paper with a vinyl scraper tool and lift the words from the white paper backing.

How to make a "You warm my heart" mug using StyleTechCraft Vinyl.

Lay the transfer paper onto the mug. Since it has a curved surface, start from the center of the words and rub one side at a time using a vinyl scraper tool. The tool allows you to smooth the image and eliminate air bubbles.
Remove Vinyl Transfer Tape*.
Line up hearts over the words and apply the vinyl hearts onto the mug.

Allow the vinyl to cure on the mug for four days before use. (Hand Wash Only)

Add a package of heart marshmallows (I found at Target), chocolates, and a box of Hot Cocoa Mix
