Now that I’ve got this new easy to use, upgraded website that includes my very own name,
I started looking at ways to increase my following and make the content better.
After reading an article on 10 Steps to becoming a credible & respected blogger, a few things stuck.
The first was to create an editorial calendar. (I used this Free download from Fancy Pants Designs)
The second thing was to blog daily if possible. (say what???)
So that became my challenge.
Creating Blog Worthy projects and posts for 31 days? (why didn’t I do this for 28 days in February?)
At first it was hard coming up with ideas.
After starting with the obvious ones (design team projects and posts), it became a little easier.
I don’t promise that everyday will be long mind boggling, well thought out posts.
But…I will do my very best to fulfill this personal challenge to blog everyday for the month of May.
Who knows, I might just get the hang of this yet.
See you tomorrow.
Sue
Great idea, Sue. I love the look of your site….looking forward to your future posts!
We just met but you inspired me. I have been blogging 1x a week and was about to switch to every other. Forget that. Next week I am creating my editorial calendar and have been putting together topic ideas. Best of all: I play with a few gals where we are using the alphabet to create our guide words for the year.May 1 was the letter I and my word I had chosen was Inspiring. I posted your blog to my page and declared that daily I will post someone, a blog, a post, image, etc that inspires me, and this is separate and distinct from my daily 8:30 morning inspiration post.
How do you like your upgraded site? I just started my free site on WP. My goal is to upgrade, hopefully soon. Thanks for the links. I most definitely will check those out to help my blog as well. Good luck!
This is only month one, and so far I love it. I had so many challenges with my old site, this seems so much better. Scheduling posts and publishing them on Facebook, they’ve made it real easy. I’m a happy camper so far.
That’s a huge commitment! Sometimes I struggle just finding a topic for two posts a week!
Rita, I’ve been working on scheduling and writing them a head of time.
Making an editorial calendar really seemed to do the trick for me.
I not promising anything for June yet. (I may be spent by then)
I think it’s wonderful that you’ve taken on this task. I wish i could blog just a few times a week. Writing more probably makes it easier. I look forward to following you on your blog.
I love your new website Sue! It’s so brave for you to blog everyday for 31 days… Though I know you can do it! Thanks for sharing the editorial calendar, I will be looking at it too:).
