You’ve been making cards for how long? You have how many cards?
If you’re a Card Maker then you know what I’m talking about…
Because we’re addicted to paper, stickers, dies and stamps…
pretty patterns, inks and embellishments.
We make cards. We make lots of cards.
We just love making them. (we do, we really do)
Saving the ones we made in class because…“they’re just too pretty to give away”
or “I’m keeping them for future inspiration”. (you know I’m right)
But then after so many years of card making…
What to do with all these cards.
I have been making cards for years. A lot of years.
Almost 20 years to be exact and I’ve designed for various manufacturers for the last 14.
Truth is… like a lot of Card Makers, I do sometimes give them out. (Most of the time, I keep them.)
I’ve kept a lot.
Here’s the deal…
As I work on Spring Cleaning and purging in my office, I decided to give some away.
Some are old, really old, others are card fronts or tags.
It’s kind of embarrassing…
I will stuff Three Priority Mail envelopes full and send them to three lucky recipients.
That is if anyone wants them. (geez, this could be really embarrassing)
Just leave me a comment on this post by Monday, April 25th
and I’ll pick a three winners to send out the cards.
Snicker, Laugh, Give them away or “Keep them for Inspiration”. The choice is up to you.
Just promise not to post them or submit them to as your own. (that would be wrong)
Would do but I’m in the uk! 🙂 I know what you mean though -my mum calls me a hoarder but it’s all too pretty and you know ‘I might need it later’. I plan on making cards and gifts for people…but then I just end up keeping them 🙂
It’s good to know that it doesn’t matter where you live we all face the same dilemma when it comes to card making. P.S. I’ve decided to open it up to anyone. (just in case your the only one who wants them) 🙂
Have a wonderful day. Sue
Haha I’d love them -they look lovely ! I hope you have a lovely day, Dahlia 🙂
Your creativity is always inspirational and would create more blessings when shared!
Thank You Nancy. I appreciate that.
Gee, Sue, most of us are in the same place. I try to keep a copy of cards I send, but can almost never send cards made in classes. They are too pretty to send and do need to keep them for inspiration. You nailed it with this blog post! P.S. You do beautiful work! But, I think you already knew I feel that way.
Thanks Pat. That’s sweet. I may or may not of thought of you when writing this post. (so… you don’t need any more cards?)
Sue,
I’d love to have some of your cards for inspiration and I have been checking to see if you had any classes scheduled. I am getting itchy fingers to do a class
I have a couple class ideas up my sleeve. I need to get over to The Paper Forest and get them on the calendar. (thanks for the push)
Have a wonderful day.
Sue
Your cards are so inspirational and decorative. I wouldn’t mind receiving some to use as examples for making more.
Sharon
Thank You that’s sweet of you to say.
Ha! Card lovers all keep some. I purge mine twice a year to keep them in check. But I’d love some of yours to add to my stash. 😘
I wish I’d purged mine twice a year. (Once a year would of been good too.)
I’d love to see the rest of them (and keep a few) 😀 they have personality!
Thank You. They do have a personality. (some better than others) 🙂
Who wouldn’t be interested? It would be like getting a Christmas present! 🙂
Now that’s the attitude I like to hear!
I LOVE Your Cards and would feel honored to receive some of them !! Waiting for our next class. Always love your classes… 🙂
I am not sure if my first one posted so am doing this again…Love Love Love your cards…and of course we are interested. You make “AWESOME” cards and we are waiting for the next class date…
Thank You Linda. Hopefully I’ll have new classes real soon.
Hey Sue,I’m one of those that likes to keep (or at least take a picture of) my cards I make, but since I tend to send so many cards,I would love a batch of yours. Your Christmas class is a blast and you have so much talent!!! So, I’m in for sure!! Thanks for thinking of us all. MARY
Thanks for the compliment. I knew I wasn’t the only one who saved them. 🙂
I would love to receive a packet of cards because I can always use new inspiration. My grandchildren are also interested in learning more about card making and would enjoy your cards for examples. Thanks for sharing with us.
That’s great that your grandchildren are interested in cardmaking.
My grandson loves making projects with me. I hope it’s something he’ll remember me by.
I’ve known you for a long time, in fact your shop is where I learned my love of card making. I have a big plastic box filled with cards that I will never use either. Saved them for samples. I now make cards only for birthdays and special occasions. I no longer live in IL, but was there this spring and ran into you at a workshop at the Paper Forrest. Your workshops were always creative and fun. I miss that where I’m living now. Bonnie
Thank You. That was very sweet. I miss you too.
I would love to have some of your cards. I have files of home made cards. Really enjoyed the Christmas class we went to. I just finished remodeling my craft room. I have my home
made cards all over, just for inspiration. Love all new ideas. Faye
I won’t pass them off as my own, but I will give them away! (I love your name….it’s almost mine)
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called Eldredge. Good Luck. Have a great week-end.
I would love some handmade cards!!
Thank you for the giveaway 😊 Fingers crossed!
Thanks for commenting. Have a great week-end.
Sue
I would love to have your cards! How fun!
Oh wow! I would love to have some of your cards! I can’t seem to get my stash built up. I love sending out cards as much as making them!
I would love to have them!! First to browse through for inspiration and then share them with my Hospice clients… Either for them directly or for them to give to family and friends as often they’re unable to get out and get their own cards. Thanks ever so much for the opportunity!!
Jill I need your address to send you the cards. I sent you an email. Hopefully you got it.
I’m a 2 month newbie to this entire craft and have been purchasing things but didn’t know how to pull them together into a completed item .
I was looking for more inspiration with finished cards and here is an awesome opportunity —woohoo ❣❣❣❣❣
I try really hard to mail them out. I also make my Christmas cards, so all of those go out. I still have lots that I did for a class, or something else and still have. I know exactly what you mean!
I would love your cards, I am a cardmaker also and I know your dilemma. I donate my cards to several charities and if I won yours, that is what I would do with them……Of course, I would enjoy them for a while first!!!
That would be great.
Have a wonderful week-end.
Sue
Wow! What a fun idea! I saw this over at the Destash FB group and had to pop over! Count me in! I love your cards!
Thank You. You’re counted in. Have a great week-end.
Sue
I just got my computer back today so I hope I’m not too late. I still have every card I ever made in your classes. (They are for inspiration and besides I just can’t part with them). I would love some of your cards!! LaVonne
No, you just made it.
Wow! I love handmade cards and handmade anything from the heart. I would be overjoyed to recieve one of these bags filled with goodness! Thanks so much for your generosity!
Thanks for the compliment. They were all given away in April. I’m thinking maybe I should go through them again and get another batch. (hmmm)
Have a wonderful day.
Very nice!
